Rid Yourself from Impotence by Cialis
by Antony Virgese
One of the biggest disorders related to impotence is ED. Erectile dysfunction or impotence is a sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis for satisfactory sexual intercourse regardless of the capability of ejaculation. ED affects 15 to 30 million American men.
Most men experience this at some point in their lives, usually by the age of 40, and are not psychologically affected by it. Some men, however, experience chronic, complete erectile dysfunction (impotence), and others, partial or brief erections. Frequent erectile dysfunction can cause emotional and relationship problems, and often leads to diminished self-esteem. Erectile dysfunction has many causes, most of which are treatable, and is not an inevitable consequence of aging.
There are various underlying causes, such as diabetes. The causes may be physiological or psychological. Psychological impotence can often be helped by almost anything that the patient believes in; there is a very strong placebo effect.
Due to its embarrassing nature and the shame felt by sufferers, the subject was taboo for a long time, and is the subject of many urban legends. Folk remedies have long been advocated, with some being advertised widely since the 1930s. The introduction of perhaps the first pharmacologically effective remedy for impotence, sildenafil (trade name Viagra), in the 1990s caused a wave of public attention, propelled in part by the news-worthiness of stories about it and heavy advertising. There are many erectile dysfunction drugs which are available in the market these days.
What are erectile dysfunction drugs? Viagra is a prescription medication that helps men with erectile dysfunction to achieve and maintain an erection. It is taken as a pill, usually one hour before you anticipate engaging in sexual activity. Levitra and Cialis are similar drugs. They differ mainly in how quickly they work, and how long they remain active within the body.
How do they work? Phosphodiesterase E5 (PDE5) drugs such as Viagra (sildenafil), Levitra (vardenafil) and Cialis (tadalafil). These drugs are considered to be the most significant prescription treatment of erectile dysfunction today.
How it works: Viagra and related drugs like CIALIS improve blood flow into the penis. These drugs start to work in less than half an hour, and reach maximum effect in 30 to 60 minutes. In some studies, up to 70 percent of impotent men had some improvement in erections after taking on of these drugs. Three out of 10 men are able to sustain an erection through completion of intercourse.
So, no more does impotence remain a scary, frightening and dreaded disease. With all these medications available you can not only get rid of impotence but also enhance your performance ability.
