Low Carb Diets - Are They An Easy Weight Loss Plan To Follow?
by Terry Edwards
Low or no carb diet plans are tough for the average person to experience success with. Heres why.
Lets look at the Atkins diet as an example. It has been a massively popular weight loss plan over the last few years.
The Atkins diet plan only calls for 20 grams of net carbs each day for the first 14 days. Thats it, only 20. What does that equate to? Well, a nice sized apple will contain more net carbs than that.
Think about how hard that is for the average person to stick with. Try doing that for 14 straight days. Your body will feel tired, hungry and youll have very little strength because you need more carbs to give it energy.
The South Beach Diet is also a low carb diet plan that is a little easier, but is still difficult to follow.
A low or no carb diet plan that makes you feel zapped of strength and miserable is not going to help most people succeed.
You will simply cheat on it or most likely quit after a few days because of how you feel. Thats what makes these diets so tough to stay on.
Your body needs protein, fat and carbs to be healthy. But, to lose weight you need to eat all 3 in the healthy proportion. And thats the trick. Most people who diet dont know what the right combination should be. Its only when you find a weight loss plan that incorporates all 3 of these in the right proportion that you will experience long term success.
